“Much of our understanding of physics…
comes from the application of fundamental theoretical concepts to the description of physical systems. This is particularly true in the field of atomic physics…” - Richard A. Dunlap
Weber State University’s Nuclear Physics lab is designed for helping students better understand nuclear and particle physics. Nuclear physics is not just about weapons, but is a field that has produced MRI imaging, X-ray technology and other types of ways to look “inside” the world around us. Directed by Dr. Michelle Arnold, you will be able to explore the Elemental Concentration (what it’s made of) of items brought in with an X-Ray Flourescence analyzer and go on a tour of the lab.
